May Newsletter 2019

Dear Kong Academy Family,
Time has really flown by, it’s hard to believe we are already in May! We have been having so much fun with all the different events and activities over the last month. Earlier in April, we had the best Easter Egg Scavenger Adventure Hunt ever, followed by a fun Family Fitness night at Salmon Bay K-8 and the Shape Health Conference in Ellensburg last Saturday.

Kong Academy will be presenting Parkour and the Art of Movement at QRKCON, a gaming and media arts convention for the neurodiverse community and friends. We will have lots of family friendly activities for you and your child with silly Star Wars themes! To find out more about the event and to buy tickets, visit their website. It’s on May 4th from 11:30am-4:30pm at Washington Hall. May the Fourth be with you!

Wow, it’s already May! Summer will be here before we know it. We are on a mission to create mindful movers through the power of play and cultivate water safety awareness this Summer! Make sure to sign up your child for one of our Parkour and Swim Summer Camps. Check out our Facebook page to get a better idea of what we do or find a more detailed description of all our camps on 6crickets.

If you already know which camp your little one wants to attend, sign up now while we still have space! We are offering camps for three different age groups on top of our swim camps.

Women’s Parkour Meet-Up

Calling all women in the Seattle area! We invite you to jump around and play this Saturday (May 4) from 2pm-4pm at Pike Place Hillclimb (1510 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98101). It’s a FREE event so don’t let money stop you and it’s open to all skill levels, even if you’ve never done Parkour! The first 45min will be guided training by our Chief Play Officer, Elke. To find out more details about the event, visit Facebook. We hope to see many of you there!
