Kong Academy — SMS Terms of Service

These SMS Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your participation in the text messaging (SMS)program offered by Kong Academy LLC (“Kong Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms.

1. Program Description
The Kong Academy SMS program sends text messages to participants who have opted in. Messages may include promotions and special offers; enrollment and program updates, reminders, and schedule changes; invitations to optional weekly group chats for your child’s program location and session; program-related reminders such as friend requests for grouping; and customer-service communications.
2. Consent to Receive Messages
By opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from Kong Academy at the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product, program, or service. You represent that you are at least 18 years old and are the account holder or an authorized user of the number provided.
You may opt in through any of the following:
- Checking the SMS consent box on a form at kongacademy.org
- Providing your number and consent on our participant waiver form
- Providing your number and consent during enrollment confirmation
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. You can generally expect to receive no more than 2 messages per week.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. These charges are determined by your mobile carrier and your plan; Kong Academy is not responsible for any carrier charges.
5. Opt Out
You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation message, and we will stop sending texts unless you opt in again.

7. Supported Carriers and Delivery
Message delivery is subject to the availability and capabilities of your mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered to all devices or carriers.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may modify or cancel the SMS program or these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Information collected through the SMS program is handled in accordance with our SMS Privacy Policy, available on our website. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or opt-in data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
