Kong Academy is a committed community of playful movers and nurturing teachers that cultivate an environment where people can play, move, and grow together.

We empower children to overcome their obstacles by honoring them where they are: we guide their growth and celebrate persistence through play and movement.

Brandon Eaton

Brandon is new to parkour but has a long history of active movement. He comes from a background of professional soccer and coaching kids in various environments of the sport. Brandon loves to learn about others and himself by sharing passions and moments to connect with people. Brandon is a kid at heart and is always up for exploring an avenue of play. Brandon is a transplant from the east coast and is relatively new to the PNW. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys hiking, kayaking, and photography along with exploring the outdoors and his new home here in Seattle.

Aristoteli Zherdi

Coach and Project Manager

Ari started practicing Parkour in 2009 and teaching in 2012. His movement style leans toward connecting moves seamlessly aiming toward making simple skill lines look complex and fluid. Besides fluid movement, Ari also enjoys understanding how to move their body in the air through acrobatic movements. His teaching style on the other hand very heavily leans toward making each skill as accessible as possible both through breaking down the skill for students that are struggling or giving students that are successful additional goals/challenges to work with.

Over the past 5 years, Ari has lived in LA working in the Stunt Industry further expanding his skill set by learning things like understanding how to hit the ground safely, fall from high places, stage combat, and even be lit on fire!! With these skills, he has gained a further understanding of what the human body can safely perform and how to break things down to safe manageable levels.

Right now, she continues to be a student leader handling and leading various organizations outside and inside their campus.

Mark Hernandez

Mark is the Customer Experience Officer of Kong Academy. He is a father of 2 lovely kids and a volunteer Sunday teacher for the children in his community. He loves to hangout with different people and travel together with his friends.

Before devoting his career in the Customer Service Industry, he was an engineer by profession. He finished his studies in Electronics Engineering in a University in the Philippines. His favorite subjects are Physics and Mathematics.

Eric Jusino

Coach

Eric’s been working with local parkour organizations building, organizing, and teaching since 2009.

He trains parkour because it’s fun, challenging, and brings adventure into the everyday world. He teaches a fun, accessible class, and has a special connection with people who think they’re too old or injured to play outside.

Ian Schwartz

Coach

Ian was born down where the drawls are slow and the tea is sweet but he migrated to the picturesque Northwest to learn some sweet new skills. And learn he did; by day he trades in data and spreadsheets and by night (and sometimes mid-morning) he teaches parkour in this great urban landscape. He was brought up by PKV in the early Leary days, circa 2010, and has been a staple of the Seattle community ever since. A founding member of “Team Old”, Ian started training around his third decade and has been keeping it up almost daily ever since. His coaching style takes its cues from old-school Jackie Chan films and other masterpieces of early martial arts cinema.
